QR Codes for Quick Pay – Making Payments Seamless and Secure

In our continued drive to enrich customer experiences, ZAINIAC announces the implementation of QR Codes for Quick Pay, an idea submitted by Saja Rabaiah, supported by Vanguard Ayman Alkhayree and Enabler Osama Saleem. This solution introduces a faster, more secure, and more convenient way for Zain Jordan customers to pay their bills and purchase bundles.

This idea focuses on embedding a secure QR code directly on invoices issued from any Zain POS. When scanned, it takes the customer to their personalized payment screen, where they can instantly settle their bills and even choose to purchase additional bundles. Customers can also dial *787# to receive an SMS containing their secure QR code, which they can use to pay bills either online or at a POS without having to share their phone numbers, thereby ensuring greater data privacy and enhancing the overall customer experience.

The team explored several approaches, and after thorough assessment, they decided to leverage existing POS invoice printers to embed the QR codes on invoices, making the solution more practical and scalable. The QR codes are designed to be dynamic and can link to either a specific service or to the customer’s account for paying any pending bills.

This implementation reflects Zain Jordan’s commitment to making everyday interactions simpler and smarter for customers.
