SIM Card Charges - Boosting Revenue at Zain Jordan

Nov. 30, 2024

Zain Jordan continues to enhance its services with an adjustment to the existing SIM Card Charges under the Fast Track Campaign, aimed at optimizing revenue generation. This idea was submitted to ZAINIAC by Jilan Odeh and implemented with the support of the Vanguard Nimat Shkakhwa and Enablers Saif Abu Karaki, Omar Awad, and Mohammad Shaderma.

Under this adjustment, customers will now be charged 5 JDs for any SIM card change, starting from the first request. This change aligns with Zain Jordan’s strategic objectives to improve operational processes and enhance revenue while continuing to provide excellent customer service.

The implementation process involved the following key steps:

  • Introduction of Change Fees: Customers are now required to pay a 5 JD fee at the time of SIM card change or have the fees reflected in their next billing cycle, with certain exceptions applied at the Account Receivable (AR) level.
  • Clear Rules and Exceptions: Specific guidelines and criteria for fee application were established to ensure transparency and fairness for all customers.
  • Seamless Integration Across Touchpoints: The adjustment has been rolled out across all Zain Jordan customer touchpoints, including Zain shops, franchises, and express POS locations, ensuring consistent application of the charges.
  • Customer Notifications: Customers are informed via SMS upon SIM card replacement, detailing the adjusted policy and associated charges to maintain transparency.

This will not only simplify processes but also generate additional revenue for Zain Jordan. By standardizing fees for SIM card replacements, the initiative ensures customers are informed and offers Zain a competitive advantage in operational efficiency.
