Mood Tracker | How are you feeling, really?

As mental health awareness grows, understanding employee wellbeing is essential for creating a healthy and productive work environment. Zain Bahrain has launched Mood Tracker, a tool designed to monitor employee mood and measure organizational wellbeing.

This idea, submitted to ZAINIAC by Sanad BinSanad, Bader AlBastaki, and Maryam Esmaia, led by Vanguard Ali Hasan Awadh, and developed by Husain Ahmed, enables employees to regularly reflect on and register their feelings by tracking their mood throughout the day, especially during overwhelming periods. The data collected will help Zain better support employees and foster a more balanced workforce in alignment with Zain's BE WELL strategy, which in turn enhances the organization’s performance.

How Does It Work?

Mood Tracker is a pop-up notification on PC/Laptop where employees are asked, "How are you feeling today?" They can select from options like very happy, happy, neutral, or sad. While participation is voluntary, daily input is encouraged to create a clear picture of the emotional landscape across Zain.

The collected data is anonymized and analyzed at team, and company levels. This analysis reveals patterns in employee wellbeing during specific times of the year.

Fostering a culture of support: This tool normalizes emotional check-ins, creating a caring environment where employees feel psychologically safe.
Improving employee happiness and productivity: The Culture Team and Leaders can analyze the data to understand what makes employees feel fulfilled, shaping strategies that enhance motivation and productivity.
