What is Internal Innovation?

Innovation is the foundation of Zainiac, so it is essential to have a shared understanding of what innovation really is. Innovation is any novel idea that adds value, whether it be in the form of something as complex as a brand-new method or product, or as simple as a valuable modification to existing methods, products, and more. Accenture found that 85% of executives believe that a company’s future success is extremely dependent on innovation. Especially with recent global disruptions, innovation is more important than ever. A McKinsey study shows that 84% of participating CEOs find innovation to be a critical aspect of growth in an increasingly turbulent world.

As of January 2023, Zainiac has changed direction from focusing on innovation in the form of potential start-up ideas to internal innovation. Internal innovation focuses on projects or initiatives that can be implemented by Zain. These ideas are intended to benefit both Zain employees and Zain’s overall success as a company. Possible ideas can range from a project designed to improve the well-being of youth employees to a project designed to improve the connectivity of all Zain employees. There is no limit.

Internal innovation provides large organizations with the ability to take their operations to the next level using the perspectives of the very people who make the organization what it is, its employees. As found by PWC, 60% of participants believe that employees are the most equipped to deliver internal innovation with their specialized ability to identify problems and formulate creative and applicable solutions. As Zain aims to make the world a wonderful place, Zainiac is manifesting the belief, that true impact and success starts from within.
